March 2017 meeting.
A good turnout of 30 people came to talk turning at the March meeting.
Duncan agreed to run the meeting as Paul was out of town. Duncan thanked Peter and Alex for making laminated membership cards for all of our members. Deb updated us on the 2018 Symposium. People were thrilled to hear that Michael Hosaluk has agreed to be one of the presenters. Gordon Munn showed us some of the beautiful wood he obtained from Bow River Woods in Chilliwack B.C. Deb McLeod presented a detailed demonstration on how she uses a colour wheel to help with decisions on what colors to use. She then showed how to use sample boards to practice paint and texturing techniques.

Glen Friesen updated everyone on the happenings planned for the Matisho turn for cancer weekend on March 25, 26. There will be some interesting machinery from Laguna tools on display and lots of items for the silent auction so bring your pocketbook! For more information click HERE.
