By the end of the meeting we had thirty-four members present. Some snow birds are checking their wings and threatening to take flight soon so Nov. might have a lower attendance.
Don Buck very capably stepped into the president’s spot and started the meeting off with some announcements.
All members should know about the Education Fund that is available to help people attend an educational event related to turning. A good example would be the Regina Symposium coming up in July. (Click HERE for Symposium information).
If you want to read about our EDUCATION FUND and fill in an application form click HERE. You can print the form and bring it to a meeting or send it via email to Don at: email@example.com
Jim Beebe, our program coordinator, encouraged members to sign up if they intended to put an item in the “Gallery on the Green” next year. You can email Jim at: firstname.lastname@example.org if you didn’t get to sign the form.
DEMO BY DAVE JESNEY
Dave gave us a detailed view of how to use the Vicmarc Eccentric Chuck that he obtained from Ken Rude the owner of Branches to Bowls in Calgary. These pictures don’t do justice to the detail that Dave gave us on how to use the offset and the circles to predict the final form.
A big THANK YOU to Dave for the demo.
SHOW AND TELL was next on the agenda.
