Keeping in touch, July 21, 2020.

Today’s submission is from Ken Rude. You will remember Ken from his visits to Saskatoon during our last conference and when he showed his products at our club meeting.
Ken wants everyone from our club to know that Branches to Bowls is open, busy and shipping during this Covid-19 pandemic. Below is a link to the company.
Thanks Ken for showing us your latest project.

This was a piece off a neighbours tree that was headed to the fire pit. I was intrigued so I took it home.  With the rough chunk I had no idea what would come of it or anything at all.  When my wife saw it, she claimed it as hers.

Keeping in touch, July 20, 2020

There are two items for today’s post. One from Jay Scott and one from Rick Hounjet.

Jay Scott has finished a many step turning project with wood, resin, turning and lamp components. The result is quite spectacular. There will be a full post about it soon. Here is a sneak preview.

I made this bowl from pillar cedar and finished it with Tung oil.
Rick.

Keeping in Touch July 18, 2020.

From Bernard Nagel…
I finally finished this six segment, four ring Baltic birch plywood vase and finished it with ruby red aniline dye and three coats of minwax polycrylic . I will try to get some fall or winter tulips  from the shop tulip patch to put in it but I have a table to build before I can get to that.
